What can I say except "James Burke Rocks!"

His "follow the bouncing ball" style of recounting seemingly unrelated events and connecting them together to establish a cause-and-effect for technologies we all use today is awe inspiring.

Who would have thought that the cotton industry could have led us to smart bombs?  Certainly not I.

Those that have never read James Burke will simply be left with the question "how does this guy know all this stuff?"
