Cuckoo's Egg : Tracking a Spy Through The Maze of Computer Espionage

Clifford Stoll was an astronomer at Lawrence Berkeley when he was given an assignment to track down the source of a 75 cent accounting error on the University's computer system.  Upon finding that the source of the error was caused by an unauthorized user, Stoll embarked on a months long search to identify the attacker.  Along the way Stoll's detailed notes on the events show how the attacker utilized weaknesses in systems to jump from network to network taking over computing systems around the world.

While a true story with accurate technical accounts and detail, the delivery makes this one read like a detective thriller of the highest caliber.

For those that don't already know the history of this well documented account I won't spoil the ending by telling you whodunit.

Just read it for yourself, I promise you won't be disappointed.
